Do you know of any places you can recommend? This list is meant to be a source of inspiration for those who want to travel with their dogs - and enjoy the trip, with their dogs... We hope to grow this list dramatically and fast. If you know of any destination (resort, park, accomodation, tour, activity) you have enjoyed yourself together with your dog, then please share! If you are in doubt what makes a travel destination qualifying for being on this list, then these are the criteria we use for editing:

Houseboat vacation A H |
Shuswap Lake, BC | RVI - Three Buoys |
Mogens Eliasen January 2004 |
Shuswap Lake has many resorts that rent out houseboats, and many of them are dog friendly. As you need to beach the boat every night anyway, getting the dog onshore for its "business" is not a problem. There are lots of hiking possibilities, and for a dog that loves to swim, this is it! I have done this for many years, and it is truly great. |
Dog training camp A H T |
Kamloops, BC | K9joy camp courses |
Anita Watson January 2004 |
These camp courses are for small groups of people (maximum 8 per instructor), and the focus of the training is search and nosework and practical control of the dog under the natural settings of the BC wilderness! Family and kids are welcome too! Your dog is guaranteed pooped out at the end of the week - unless you are yourself before that... |
